NATO Uses `Flying Radars` for Reconnaissance Near Russian Border in Arctic - Russia`s FSB
Arya News - NATO has started using airborne early warning and control aircraft ("flying radars") for reconnaissance near Russian border in the Arctic, Vladimir Koretsky, the head of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) Border Directorate for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, said on Wednesday.

"The Alliance"s reconnaissance activity in the Barents Sea has increased significantly. Reconnaissance ships remain key tools in NATO"s technical reconnaissance system in the Arctic. The use of aerial reconnaissance in the immediate vicinity of Russia"s state border is increasing every year. The use of NATO airborne early warning aircraft has been recorded for the first time," Koretsky said, speaking at the 15th International Forum "The Arctic: Present and Future."
